Latanya Goodlow
6th Grade Teacher
I developed a passion for walking alongside students in their educational journeys as a young student learning in inner-city institutions. This background has afforded me experiences of comfortably connecting with students and staff from diverse ethnicities and cultures. I achieved a Masters in Education while I was completing my Doctoral dissertation for the School of Theology at Azusa Pacific University. I am still in awe of the tools I was given to help support our students at Real Journey Academies.
One of my favorite things to do is to enjoy the beach and surfing with my two sons. They have also developed into mentors to inner-city youth and “Uncle-daddies” to the children of their closest friends.
My goal as an Elective teacher at New Vision Middle School is to continue to be an integral part of introducing and placing students in conversation with their potential.
