I.T. Technician

I’m the IT Technician at New Vision Middle School, where I’m responsible for keeping the school’s technology running smoothly. When the Wi-Fi goes down, you know who gets the call! I’ve been in the tech industry for over 10 years, and I apply that knowledge to everything I do every day. I work closely with my supervisor, teachers, and staff to ensure that the tech doesn’t get in the way of learning. I take pride in being the go-to person when tech problems arise.

When I’m not keeping the school’s tech in check, I’m usually at home tinkering with my gaming PCs, squeezing every bit of performance out of my hardware, or getting lost in a game or two. Where are my Elden Ring fans? Outside of tech, I’m a car enthusiast who enjoys working on my car and pretending I can still pull off the skateboarding tricks I used to do. (Spoiler: I can’t.) Whether it’s troubleshooting tech or getting my hands dirty with a car project, I enjoy a good challenge...sometimes.

I’m constantly inspired by the students and staff. Watching students take ownership of their learning, using the tech I help maintain, is incredibly rewarding. The REAL Journey program, in particular, has shown me how dedicated the school is to helping students achieve success in meaningful ways. I’m proud to contribute to that mission, ensuring the technology works as seamlessly as possible so that teachers and students can focus on what matters most: learning and growth. Whether it’s through providing the tools they need or supporting teachers with any tech challenges, I’m committed to helping students succeed and making sure technology is one less thing they need to worry about.
